• CREATE TECTONIC EXPRESSIONS OF DIFFERENCE SPATIAL TYPOLOGIES WHICH IMPACT ON THE USES AND EXPERIENTIAL CONDITIONS OF SPACE.
• GENERATE DESIGN THROUGH CONSCIOUS CONSIDERATION OF SECTION-PLAN RELATIONSHIP WITH CONSIDERATIONS OF HUMAN SCALE, NATURAL LIGHT, MATERIALITY AND TEXTURES.

PROJECT 1A : PRECEDENT STUDIES
AS PART OF THIS. THE OBJECTIVE OF PROJECT 1A IS TO IDENTIFY AND ANALYZE SPATIAL ORDER AND SPATIAL POETICS PRECEDENT STUDIES. THE MAIN AIM TO ANALYZE 2 SELECTED ARCHITECTURAL PRECEDENTS. WE ARE REQUIRED TO ANALYSE THE SPATIAL POETICS & SPATIAL TYPOLOGY OF OUR PRECEDENTS, UNITED STATE AIR FORCE ACADEMY CADET CHAPEL AND RADCLIFFE CAMERA.
IN GROUP OF 5, WE NEED TO DO RESEARCH ON ONE LINEAR AND ONE CONCENTRIC PRECEDENT, RECORD ANALYSIS ON MULTIPLE SHEETS OF A3 BOARD.


PROJECT 1B : 'JOURNEY FOR THE 5 SENSES' MEMORIAL
USING THE DESIGN STRATEGIES BASED ON PROJECT 1A, DESIGN A MEORIAL THEMED 'JOURNEY FOR THE FIVE SENSES. WE NEED TO TRANSLATE THE POETRY INTO A WALK BY USING 2 CONSTRASTING SPATIAL TYPOLOGIES WITH 50 METERS LINEAR AND 10Mx10Mx10M CONCERNTRIC.

REFLECTION
FROM THIS PROJECT I UNDERSTOOD THE DESIGN PROCESS OF LINEAR AND CONCERNTRIC, AND HOW TO APPLY TO ARCHITECTURE SPACES. OTHER THAN THAT THE JOURNEY OF 5 SENSES FROM THE MEMORIALS ALSO CREATE THE POETIC FEELING TO SHOW THE USER EXPERIENCES IN THE SPACES. AS THIS IS A GROUP ASSIGNMENT, I HAD ALSO LEARNT HOW TO DIVIDE WORKS WITH MY TEAMATES AND THE COMBINATION OF DIFFERENCE IDEAS. I REALLY ENJOY DOING THIS PROJECT TOGETHER WITH MY TEAMATES AND ALSO MY LOVELY TUTOR, MS SUE MAY.
