PROJECT 1 : THE GATEWAY
OUR TASK IS TO FORM IN GROUP OF 3, INVESTIGATE THE GIVEN SITE. RECORD AND ANALYSE THE SITE CONTEXT AND THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHS AND DIAGRAMS. WE NEED TO IDENTIFY AND RESEARCH THE USER NEEDS BASED ON THE SITE AND USER NEEDS, BRAINSTORM IDEAS FOR EXPLORATION OF THE SHED. AFTER THAT WE NEED TO DO A SCHEMATIC DESIGN WHICH IS PROBLEM SOLVING TO DEVELOP SKETCH PLAN AND SECTION TO RESPOND TO ENVIRONMENTAL AND USER NEEDS. LASTLY WE NEED TO DEVELOP INTERIOR POETICS (INSIDE/OUTSIDE RELATIONSHIP) BY TAKING INTO ACCOUNT INTERACTION BETWEEN ENVIRONMENT AND ARCHITECTURAL SPACE/FORM.



REFLECTION
FROM THIS PROJECT I UNDERSTOOD THE DESIGN PROCESS OF LINEAR AND CONCERNTRIC, AND HOW TO APPLY TO ARCHITECTURE SPACES. OTHER THAN THAT THE JOURNEY OF 5 SENSES FROM THE MEMORIALS ALSO CREATE THE POETIC FEELING TO SHOW THE USER EXPERIENCES IN THE SPACES. AS THIS IS A GROUP ASSIGNMENT, I HAD ALSO LEARNT HOW TO DIVIDE WORKS WITH MY TEAMATES AND THE COMBINATION OF DIFFERENCE IDEAS. I REALLY ENJOY DOING THIS PROJECT TOGETHER WITH MY TEAMATES AND ALSO MY LOVELY TUTOR, MS SUE MAY.
